Lean Six Sigma Training
Asset | Strategy & Logistics will organize a Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma training in cooperation with Breda University of applied sciences. Lean Six Sigma is a methodology designed to improve performance by systematically reducing waste. It is a step-by-step process of interventions and statistical tools that allow companies to interpret which business processes need attention, identify root causes of problems, and sustain gain in improvements.
The ‘belt’ indicates the level of experience. A Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificate is perfect for students who want to make their career in the Quality management sector and who want to implement Six Sigma Methodologies in their (future) organization to make the projects successful. After successfully completing this training, you can lead limited improvement projects and/ or serve as a team member in more complex improvement projects.
In addition to the theoretical and scientific approaches of Lean Six Sigma, the training will also focus on practical approaches. During the training, students will experiment with different tools in the 5 phases of a DMAIC project on the basis of a concrete business. The final mark per student will be based on 2 elements: an MC exam (individual) and a group presentation.
The training will consist of six or seven training evenings, an exam, and a resit, on Monday evenings January 14/21/28, February 4/11/18/25, and March 11/18. The number of training evenings will depend on the pace of the training or extraordinary circumstances. Depending on the number of training evenings, the exam will be on February 25 or March 11. This means the resit will be on March 11 or March 18.
The final schedule will be decided during the training. During the third training evening a company visit will take place. Each training session starts at 18.00h and takes approximately 3 hours. Students of the MSc Supply Chain Management won’t have lectures during this time slot. The costs for the training are €225 (including: six or seven training sessions, exam, (resit), and certificate).
Students from previous trainings indicated that the training was of added value for the MSc Supply Chain Management. The registration for the training opens on Tuesday November 20 at 12.00h. You can register via our website. Please note there are limited spots available. If you have any questions, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or come to room E119.
